Q. What
is the cost?
A. Pricing
is based on many factors - the square footage, condition of the substrate and
complexity of the design, etc. However,
we'll be happy to give you a "ballpark price" when you call (or
contact us on the web).
Q. What
type of surface(s) can Prestige Decora™ be applied over?
A. The
most common substrate for Prestige Decora™ is concrete.
However, it can also be successfully applied over drywall, metal, glass,
masonry, tile, some types of wood and more.
Q. What
are the limitations?
A. If
the substrate is basically good and structurally sound, there is a good chance
that Prestige Decora™ is applicable. However, expect "wear &
tear" in high traffic situations where there is a lot of grit,
stop-go-twisting and usage of chemicals.
Q. Will
I need a designer to determine coloration and graphics?
A. Whether
or not you have a design in mind, our in-house staff of professionals can
accommodate your design requirements as well as provide customized samples.
Q. What
are the maintenance requirements?
A. Because
of a protective sealer application, Prestige Decora™ is very durable if
maintained properly. Prestige
Concrete provides each client with a personalized "Care Procedures Manual
& Maintenance Manual ".
Q. Can
I do countertops?
A. Absolutely!
Prestige Decora™ can be used anywhere tiles, Corian, slate, granite or
marble are used. Prestige Decora™
is applicable for countertops in kitchens, bathrooms, vanity tops, islands,
backsplashes, sinks, fireplace surrounds and mantles, as well as window sills.
ARCHITECTURAL/DECORATIVE CONCRETE
Q. Do you do curb, gutter, or structural concrete?
A. Although we have the ability to do all of these, our forte is decorative concrete. If your project requires a complete concrete package, we can usually find a way to meet your requirements.
Q. What are my options for finishes, patterns and colors?
A. There are a myriad of choices with decorative concrete and we would be happy to provide you with brochures and color charts illustrating some of these options. Our knowledgeable project development staff will help guide you through the decision process and provide you with actual samples or mock-ups prior to installation.
Q. What about cracking in concrete?
A. Cracking is a normal occurrence in concrete. Our experienced staff of professionals will offer recommendations to help control and minimize cracks. It is the responsibility of the designer and owner to determine which recommendations apply to their particular installation.
Q. What are the advantages of using decorative concrete?
A. There are many benefits to using decorative concrete. The most obvious is beauty. As you can see in our photo gallery, decorative concrete can provide you with dramatically beautiful paving and hardscape options. Another advantage is its versatility. With many different finishes, over 40 stamp patterns and vast color choices - the possibilities are unlimited!
Decorative concrete is also very cost effective, usually coming in at a fraction of the price of brick, stone, or tile. It is also installed much quicker than other decorative surfaces providing for accelerated scheduling. Plus, decorative concrete is extremely durable and virtually maintenance free.
MASONRY
Q. What type of masonry work do you do?
A. Our masonry craftsmen can provide you with custom decorative block, brick, stone, and tile paving, veneers, walls, barbecues, monuments, signage, water features, etc.
Q. Do you perform large retaining/restraining wall projects?
A. Generally speaking, no. We do install custom decorative retaining walls in conjunction with other custom decorative concrete or masonry work.
Q. Do you install property line walls?
A. Only if decorative in nature and if they fall within the scope of the project. As a guideline, we are not a production wall company.
